Location:
Yakult El Salvador Plant is located in Brgy. Quibonbon, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental. It is located around 1KM from the National Highway. This is the 2nd Yakult Plant in the Philippines, the first plant is in Calamba, Laguna.
The location will enable the expansion of sales to Mindanao while providing backup to the Visayas.
History:
Yakult Philippines started producing Yakult in the Philippines from October 1978 at its Calamba Plant. The El Salvador Yakult Plant is also known as the Y.E.S. Plant Project or the Yakult El Salvador Plant Project.
Production:
This plant will produce Yakult and Yakult Light. The production capacity is planned to be 1.6 million bottles per day at the start of operations with a maximum production capacity to reach 3.2 million bottles per day.
Area Size:
The site area is 4.17 hectares, 40% larger than its first plant in Calamba, with a building area of 1.87 hectares and a total floor area of 2.56 hectares.
Start of Operations:
Yakult El Salvador Plant is targeted to start operations in January 2023.
